RC Helicopter Types
There are actually many different types of remote control helicopter and each of the have their own perks and drawbacks. The first thing you need to think about if you are a first time buyer is, which type should I go after? You have to sit down and build the thing from scratch and then learn how to fly it, its not as easy as you might think. The best ones are of course very expensive to buy. So here is a bit of help when it comes to choosing one.
Gas
Many people consider this type of helicopter to be dying out simply because people are just not buying them anymore. There are two major reasons for this. One of the first things to think about is price and these seem to be the most expensive ones out there which is why you need to think very hard before buying one of these. One of the other reasons is that they are a bit difficult to fly. Without actually being sat down and shown what eveything is it can be hard to fly these things.
Nitro
Nitro is the one that is next on this list and this is a very difficult one too. The reason this time isn’t because of the price, although they are still expensive it comes from which to choose? There are so many different sizes that it can confuse anyone who has just started the hobby. Although the average flight time is 7-14 minutes I wouldnt go and buy one of these and I will explain why.
Electric
This is now the most commonly used RC aircraft and this is down to the fact is it is the cheapest and easiest to pick up for novices. Although the average flight time isn’t the same as the other two it is starting to improve so bare this in mind.
If this isnt something you are interested in why not go out and try Airfix cars.
